I've never used a curling iron but only saw it at friends many years ago. These pliers are reasonably priced and so amazing! And it heats up in seconds. No real instructions needed, just plug it in and hold to turn it on. It's also a long press to turn off. There are only three buttons, one is an on and off button and the other two are for increasing and decreasing the temperature. I love that it comes with a thermal glove because it gets really hot. I love the fact that it's wide and has more padding, meaning it takes less time to prep for long hair. So the higher the temperature or the longer you hold the tongs, the more rippled they will be. I like it when it's really hot and then I don't have to leave it in my hair for so long because I don't have much patience to get ready. These curling irons are perfect for people like me who don't like to spend a lot of time preparing and still look made up, at least for the hair!
