Review on Tajima G-16BW Scale Measure: Standard Model by Steven Saric

Excellent band. on Tape Measures

I am a general contractor in Pittsburgh and purchased this tape measure along with a matching 30 foot tape. Prior to this purchase, I typically used Stanley Fatmax 25' and 16' tapes. I like to use this tape over Fatmax. The Fatmax is overly bulky in my opinion, and the blade lock was always difficult to depress (with one hand), especially when measuring cuts when placed on the miter saw. In my opinion, Fatmax has the best quality of any tape I've bought in the store, but I've never been a fan for the reasons mentioned. However, I started reading the reviews and found that this unit had the best reviews for the price Has. So I bought this about a couple of months ago just before I installed a custom tile steam shower. I knew I would be rough with this tape but decided to give it a try because of the price. After laying the tiles for the steam shower and the travertine floor of about 250 square meters. Feet, my tape was fluffed up and covered with a thin layer. I spent about 10 minutes with a damp sponge and a lenox gold knife (large knife) and took the whole thin layer off the tape blade. It worked just as well as the day it came in the mail. As mentioned in other reviews, the contrasting white background and black numbers are great. The blade also retracts with a lot of force, so buyers should be careful. I pinched my finger several times. Also, the clip on the belt is a bit loose at this point, but I have no problem accepting those flaws because I think it's an amazing band. I also like the fact that they aren't sold in stores because it's much harder for someone to mistake them for their own. In closing I think I'll stock up on some of these BCs, if these bands are as good as most other stuff the company will lower the quality and the reviews will be throwbacks to the previous model.
