I bought a replacement mobile hotspot of the same model as my original and replaced my SIM card with it to test the hotspot. Unfortunately, the backup access point did not have access to the telecom operators' network because the SIM card was securely bound to the first access point. Using a Delkart SIM card reader I was able to change the PIN on the SIM card using some basic information from a tech forum along with a downloaded Delkart management software and manual. Now the SIM card works with both my backup hotspot and my original hotspot. Now I don't have to return the new access point to the seller within the 30 day return period.
