I bought this Nintendo teether-like thing as a christening gift for a geek friend's boy. The product came in a nice box and looks very realistic for a children's item. The plastic is strong but a bit soft. The surface had some texture (on the underside) but it's not as noticeable and varied as the regular teethers I've seen; The bumpy back has decent texture to chafe the gums. Since part of the screen is open, the child can hold it quite well. I think this item would make a really nice, cute gift, aesthetically pleasing; If the dad and/or mom like games, they will definitely find a cute personal touch in it. This isn't the most practical teether. Every baby is different and likes different types of teethers, so this can be both good and bad for the baby; but still it can become a collector's item.
