The long ends aren't secure, although there are clips specifically designed to keep them out of the way, and worst of all, the adjustment buckle doesn't hold up well, so every time you grab the bag by the strap , the weight of the bag lengthens the straps... and even when you wear it, the straps begin to loosen. Just not very helpful. I'm lucky enough to carry it over my shoulder, but even that is pretty annoying. It's a shame! As I said, the bag itself is nice, sturdy and well made, but the design of the strap doesn't make it functional.
