You're not assembling.

The quality is there but these parts are shaped to match the curvature of the body. It's hard to tell from the photo, but they aren't flat. As a new Corvette Stingray, I wanted to put an icon on my laptop - bad idea. 3 stars for poor/misleading image but good build quality.
