Review on πŸ”ͺ DEWALT DW3984C Portable Blade Set of 3-Pack by Dennis Long

Disappointing nonsense! in Saws, Parts & Accessories

I am writing this review on behalf of my wife, I have purchased about 3 cases or (packs) of DeWalt blades from Revain and 3 from the store, I use 1/2 cutting blades up to 2" EMT (Metal Tubing), Block Rack (C-Channel), screws, bolts, wood, metal studs and whatever fits in the 2" gap. When I got the bandsaw I had to adjust the screws that turn the wheel so that the band could move aligned on both wheels without going off balance, from the start the saw always jumps when cutting, this makes up for it especially noticeable when cutting metal such as pipes or even bolts. This is REALLY annoying because the whole saw jumps around when cutting metal. In short I checked the whole saw to find out what the problem was and concluded that the blades are so welded. The welding of the blades is not perfect. If you look closely at the seam you will see that they are misaligned. When you put it in your saw, there will be a small crack as you cut, which puts pressure on the blade. right where the weld is, which is why my blades don't last long and break easily. Some people might say that my saw is the problem or that I don't know how to use this tool, but I've been using band saws for many years. When I cut, I let the blade do its work (let the blade cut into what you cut), it's easy, no extra pressure is needed on the blade or the motor. Also, I have a colleague who has an 18v cordless Makita and his blade (which came with his saw) is the same size as mine so I tried it on my saw and his blade was perfectly stable, without gaps or other errors . from the troubles of my blade. So after all this I will be switching to Makita blades as they are better. Also, 18 tpi has more problems than 24 tpi. I hope this helps people, I don't know if this problem is because the $16 $3 blades are mostly cheap quality and the other Dewalt blades are "heavy duty" with an extra coating , which costs about $35, higher quality.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Small parts
