Okay, I hope this helps. I was ready to send it back but figured out how to make this tree more complete. People who posted pictures of beautiful trees obviously understood this, but I was stumped. The branches have 3 ends at the bottom. About a foot from the end it forks, one on each side for the lowest branches and then one to the right of the next row. You need to bend these branches into a gap and fluff up these branches. Bending them about 45 degrees and then fluffing each branch will fill in the gaps. You can't just fluff up the branches as they come in, you'll end up with knots of branches and gaps in the middle. (See photo) It looks like more hinges are needed, but each hinge has multiple branches. You need to fan them out before fluffing the ends. ** THE FIRST PICTURE IS THE BOTTOM ROW BUT NOT INSERTED, THE SECOND PICTURE IS THE LINK WHERE YOU BURN THE BRANCHES AND THREE IS THE COMPLETE BOTTOM SECTION USING THIS TECHNIQUE. ** I hope it helps.
