Can make crystal clear ice balls
Place water filled mold upside down in an Igloo playmate cooler with something under the mold to raise it about two inches. Fill the cooler with water to just cover the tops of the mold. Leave the top of the cooler open and put it in freezer for 48 hours, it freezes from top to bottom with clear ice on top and the cloudy ice pushed under the mold. Turn cooler over in your sink and wait about 15 minutes until the ice falls out. Then break the ice off of the mold, and open the mold to find perfectly clear ice balls.
