I bought this for our small dog (25 pounds) as our garden is very large and dark at night and difficult to see even with a bright torch. He runs fast, so he can run from one end of our yard to the other without our knowledge. With a collar I can see him from all points of our yard, even if it's a bright night and not completely dark. To be honest I would only recommend it for nighttime use. Not a casual collar, but maybe I'm thinking. Even if you go for a walk, for example, it works quite well, you can set it to flash and it will be easier for you to be noticed by passing cars or other passers-by. I've had this collar for almost a month now and haven't had to charge it yet. The battery lasts quite a long time and I put it on in the rain and it still works so it's pretty much waterproof. I wouldn't recommend throwing your dog in the pool with this, but you know what you're doing. I would not recommend it for hunting as the light will scare away other animals. But I think that's what I like best because it hasn't been sprayed by a skunk yet, and I'm very happy about that. It happened before. Well, if we decide to get another dog, I'll get another. Take her.
