This arrived tonight and I set it up straight away. It's been updated so it didn't come with instructions, the original sheet, or extra CAT5 cables, but it's half the price of new, so never mind. As soon as I turned it on, there was a firmware update. I replaced a TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750 which felt a little slow at times and couldn't maintain a consistent speed or signal in my apartment. Well it was a good choice to replace it as so far this thing has been downloading 50Mbps more than the speed advertised by my ISP. That's no exaggeration and I'm very happy with it! I only took off one star because I wish the router interface had more customization options. It's fairly limited, but offers control over almost everything most users need. I would also prefer if it had interchangeable antennas, they are not detachable. The speed is great and the range seems good for my 850 sq ft apartment. The Wi-Fi signal is strong throughout the room I have. My son's room is at the opposite end of the apartment from the router. My studio/office has a lot of electronics running 24/7 and is between the router's signal and his room, but his signal is still strong! I highly recommend this router, especially at this price point!
