Review on 🧱 Exploring New LEGO Adventures with Building Interactive Technology by Michael Reddy

Overall a great set, an interesting combination of LEGO and Super Mario. The starter kit was easy to assemble by following the instructions in the app. It was a bit shaky due to the way they set up the installation sequence, but it worked out fine in the end. I have worked with my 7 year old daughter and 5 and 6 year old nephews. They had no issues with the app and were happy to play around with the final project. Mario is fun and LEGO sounds and actions are well thought out. A few things: 1. The app seems to be using a lot of resources on the iPhone and charged the battery to 10% in about an hour while we were setting it up. This should be fixed, but shouldn't be a reason not to buy it now.2. Mario connects to the app via Bluetooth, but the app doesn't seem to add anything. There is some interaction, although the kids can play great with the set without using the app, and Mario still keeps track of the coins and plays sounds and voices throughout the course. I have already ordered more sets!
