First of all I would like to say that the product was delivered quickly and was properly packaged. As for the product itself, it works as it should. Adjustment isn't difficult, although you should of course make sure there's nothing in the movement before attempting to adjust it. As for the grind, I'm no expert on coffee grinders, but I managed to get the grind I personally like for both salt and pepper. Some people complain that the bottom part falls off during grinding or prevents the grist from getting caught in the food. Although the instructions don't say if it should be on while grinding, I believe it's primarily for when you're not using it, to keep grins off your table or counter, to rest on your cap, and should completely removed when you use the grinder, ensuring it doesn't fall into your food or grind. I am fairly convinced that the hole (which can be covered when used as a cap) is only there to make refilling the grinder easier when used as a funnel. Personally I thought this was a reasonable conclusion but since there were reviews to the contrary I thought I'd point this out so hopefully customers aren't misled by silly complaints. As the hole for the coarse salt is a bit small, that's a valid complaint indeed. If you have salt that has larger chunks than pepper, you'll need to chop them up first. I find this just a minor annoyance and not enough of a reason not to own and enjoy this product.
