Exactly as advertised
These headlights are fine. Cutting the strip is easy, soldering back is not easy. There isn't enough wire left in the cut to make the best use of the pigtail, and the wire itself will repel the solder. Make sure you have strong flux and use lead solder. This would not be a good project to learn soldering.
