This book is a curious combination of a beginner and intermediate book. Many of the patterns are too simple, and others assume that you not only know the peyote spiral stitch, but suggest varying the stitch based on a pattern given earlier in this book. Not impossible, but for a beginner it can be intimidating. Out of 100 designs I've only bookmarked 13 pages that I found interesting, but if you're new to beadwork there are a few easy projects to try. There is also a nice "Basics" section at the end of the book with instructions for each stitch. not a bad book
