Our daughter performed for us in the afternoons and a couple of times but she was starting to hit the big karaoke speaker. We bought her this instead and she loves it. Not only does it pair seamlessly with any phone or tablet, you can still hear them sing while listening to music in the background. We downloaded an app that plays karaoke songs for people who know them or we just let them play regular songs. There is a volume control on this microphone, but the sound quality is absolutely clean. We can turn the song down so you can hear it, but most of the time you'll hear them singing into the mic. Even one of the dials on it allows you to either sing normally or have an echo to it. If you don't want to connect via Bluetooth, you can connect a cable to the radio and it will play songs that way. Fully rechargeable and without recharging, we get 3-4 days of use depending on how often she uses it. Easy to use even she can figure it out and she is only 6 years old.
