Review on πŸƒ Optimized for SEO: Osprey Duro 1.5 Running Hydration Vest by Chris Russell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great design for smaller runners

Pros: Reservoir works very well. The water flow from the mouthpiece is excellent. The tube also has a retractable point for easy cleaning. It's worth the higher cost compared to the cheaper options. The reservoir is also in the right place at the back. It sits firmly, does not slip and is very light. - The tank's clip-on closure mechanism seems odd at first, but as long as you don't overfill the bag, it seems to work well. - The vest itself stretches in all directions. in the right places to make it comfortable to walk. It's still solidly built and feels like it'll last for a ton of road and trail miles. I'm not worried at all about fraying the mesh or the front webbing. Large cell phones can be stowed in the vest's front zip pocket. My Samsung S20 FE just fits perfectly. - Not sure about the keys but the other front pockets are perfect for a couple of gel packs. But nothing more. If you need to wear (something else) layers, go for 6. Cons: The vest is not designed for tall or very tall people. Chest measurements may be correct, but broader shoulders will definitely skew the measurements. If you are 6ft tall and weigh 195lbs the vest will fit. I wasn't training for road races, I would return the vest and buy a same size frameless mountain bike pack instead, which I'm sure will do longer road races and be more comfortable for taller runners. .- Hiking poles can easily be attached but I don't know why you need it. For day trips, one of the smaller backpacks with or without a frame is much better suited. I have a small Osprey pack with an ultra light frame which I have enjoyed using on 14s where the poles really helped early in the day. This vest (with poles) only makes sense for very serious (professional) trail racing. Are you training for longer road/trail runs or don't have access to many water stops for long trail races. ng said this is a great solution that addresses these very specific needs. 4/5 based on current game. In another 2-3 weeks of training it will probably be 5/5.
