Review on ๐ŸŽต Numark PT01USB: Portable Vinyl-Archiving Turntable for 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM Records by Derek Dolla

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product for its INTENDED purpose!

Okay let's get straight to the point, is this a fantastic sounding turntable? NO! Then why 5 stars? Because it is almost PERFECT for its INTENDED purpose! If you want awesome sound you don't need a turntable that costs less than $100 heck just the right cartridge works more than three times as well! The specs are, as expected, unsurprising: belt drive, plastic tonearm, plastic body, everything is actually plastic except for the brushed aluminum faceplate, which said it wouldn't fall off like you had it at Toys'r Us Bought. Okay so maybe that's the case BUT it's really well put together, the knobs are smooth to the touch, with center locking, the built in amp is nothing special and yet it was surprisingly FLAT in the EQ which is actually GREAT when you're recording want to preview. It struggles a bit with the big headphones but it gets the job done! Haven't used USB transfer software yet and haven't converted songs because I have a much better device for it, but it seems to hold the RPM well, it's not perfect, but for what it is I'm VERY impressed personally. If you want to stream music in high quality, go elsewhere and don't complain about this great product! But if you want to transfer some songs for your personal archive or listen to them on your phone, it's great, it will do its job and you will be very satisfied. The disc looks solid, well hung. So who should consider this player? I find this to be perfect for different types of clients, DJs (like me), audiophiles who love to "discover" old treasures, and music collectors. than one, and yes, my DJ players live in cases, but each of them weighs about 53 pounds! so it's not exactly easy to wear something like that! So why do you need a small portable alternative? I personally look for records at flea markets, thrift record stores and wherever I can find something, some stores (not many these days) have a turntable and if it works you might be able to preview records, otherwise you can audition yourself. How about So what about a small, lightweight, battery-powered turntable that you can take with you? Yes, it's perfect! It's cheap, you don't have to worry about taking it with you, and yet you can preview the entries you're interested in for any intended uses! Let the digging begin! I love it! Alsoโ€ฆ du hast einen Haufen neuer Platten gekauft, einige ausgegraben, andere online bestellt, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA in einer Kabine! But you really want to hear these records while you're there! So how about taking them with you? What if you could fit your turntable, 25 vinyl records and a pair of earphones in a Euro Flight 70 case? Well now you can! Leave the office noise behind and enjoy your new recordings! Preview, sort and classify your new music! Students: Dorm life, it's done! Constant back and forth, no room for a toothbrush, let alone a record player and speakers! Yes, you can see where it's going. Basically anyone who needs a portable player, but UNDERSTANDS that it is what YOU need and expectations should match the purpose! , battery operated, 6 size D batteries.
