Burns for about 10 minutes, which is useful
My previous thermometer had a bad switch; you had to press 10 times before it continued. This happens when you extend the probe or press a button. It stays on for around 10 minutes, which is helpful as it might not be possible to press the power button if you're wearing protective gloves. Readings are large enough for older eyes.
