I was so excited when I found these shoes. For trail running I need a shoe that supports and protects me from the rocky and rugged terrain of central Texas. And I need some room in the toe box for the natural arch that comes with long runs. This shoe seemed just right until it rubbed the sore on my foot. The lacing system connects just above the big toe where multiple layers converge. A sewn-in lace loop right at the big crook of the toe creates the perfect friction scenario. Ouch.
