Those who gave this 4+ stars are kind souls. It deserves 1 star because of the useless instructions that come with it. Thanks to a very helpful review from another buyer who was great enough to post instructions here I would say this is a 3 star moment. First, the paragraph doesn't make it clear that you need to become a professional electrician to get these plug-in lightbulbs working. That's why we farmers buy them - they're cheaper and easier than real sconces. Second, if you WANT to connect them, this is an option. It looks like all the parts are available for this setup, but I'm no electrician so take this with a grain of salt. Third, why haven't they been connected yet? Just plug them in for us - we order "lights with a plug" to avoid the hard work of the brain or a call from an electrician. Fourth, to sum up, if you're an ambitious, humble person who doesn't mind risking electrocution, it's doable. If you are an electrician on a budget I highly recommend it. Otherwise I would suggest looking elsewhere.
