I bought them as a pair of 1.25Gbps bidi gigabit singlemode fiber optic ethernet media converters with a pair of dual band SFPs. So far, the best I can get is a transfer rate of 93 Mbit/s. Maybe I have the wrong fiber optic cable? (Jeirdus 2 Meters 6 Feet LC-LC Fiber Optic Cable Jumper Optical Patch Cord Simplex Single Mode 9/125 LC-LC). I also noticed that one SFP-LC transceiver module has the module number SFP-GE-LX-SM1310 and the other module has the model number SFP-GE-LX-SM1550. One module is Tx13/Rx15 and the other is Tx15/Rx13 so they seem to be compatible. Update: Tried multimode cable (multimode simplex fiber (50/125) - LC-LC) with almost the same results, 95Mbps. Still no 1000 MBit. Last update: I connected a converter to my main router via the RG45 ethernet ports. The router status LED for this connection showed only a 100 BASE-T Ethernet connection.
