Review on Unlocked Google Pixel 3 - 64GB Memory Cell Phone in Clearly White by Louis Asok

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's an amazing phone, don't fall into the trap of comparison madness

After months of torment over which phone to buy, towards the end of November 2019 I decided to upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to the Pixel 3 . I've read and looked at every possible review of the Pixel 3 and 4 and almost settled on a 4, but found that the Pixel 3 has everything I was looking for in a phone (and more) at a much better price than the 4 . Below are a few things I prioritize in a phone and I hope my experience will help you make a decision. Obviously the camera is amazing. Photos are just like real life, if not better. I've taken countless photos since I've had this phone and I love how the photos come out even before they're edited. 2. Battery life was my biggest issue before buying the phone. Everything I've read or seen on the internet has told me it's awful, but it works great for me. I use my phone for need and during the day I listen to music/podcasts for about an hour or two between YouTube, Pandora and Spotify. I usually have about 10-20% left at the end of the night and there are days when I start at 5am. In doing so, I realized that battery life is extremely subjective based on how often you use your phone. For me, an inactive user, this phone works great.3. The processing speed is actually quite good for this phone. Sure it doesn't have a 90Hz display, but how much does that affect my quality of life? Absolutely none. In fact, my quality of life is probably better without it because it doesn't drain my battery. It's a pretty fast phone, although people "only" talk about it with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. I've never noticed it lag even when I have multiple apps open, even though I'm not playing games on my phone. In my opinion this is very fast for the average user. The screen brightness is not a problem at all for me. A lot of reviews have told me that the screen isn't bright enough, but it's just amazing, and sometimes even too bright. The reviews I've read have typically featured the Pixel 3 next to another, brighter phone. but how often do I use two phones at the same time? Never. So these comparisons are for comparison purposes only, and in real world conditions the Pixel 3 has a nice display that's bright enough. Other things that made me choose this over other phones on the market at the time (iPhone 11 Pro, Pixel 4, Samsung Galaxy S10 or Note 10, OnePlus 7 Pro) were the rear fingerprint scanner, the ability to more than 2 years to save (until January 2022) the number of free original quality photos in Google Photos, the ability to seamlessly use Google software on my phone (Drive, Photos, Chrome, etc.), customizability (from the home screen to to developer options), strong haptic feedback, and definitely price (got a new one for about $450). I've really liked it since I've had it and I don't think I'll switch from Pixel to any other brand for my next phone. but hopefully in a few years, let's see what happens. For now and for years to come, I will enjoy my Pixel 3 and everything it has to offer.
