This is not an audiophile grade of divine sound. This is a durable and dependable pair of earbuds designed to drop your bag knowing they're there for you. The sound is good at low frequencies and the mids are well defined. As with the M80, its weakness lies in the high frequencies. Although they are still nice and warm and way better than the M80 in EVERY way. My favorite feature is the splitter or secondary audio input to or from the second aux jack on the headphones themselves. I have a shading setup here at the office and it works great with my old m80 which is a second set although I used it years ago vmoda forked cable instead of plugging it into an available aux jack on another set of headphones. Maintain them and the build quality will remain. Leather and overlays aren't a weakness unless you throw them at walls and knives. The M80 pictured right is a testament to how durable they are as they were purchased when the M80 was originally released and were also used and disassembled by my brother at the time. Vmodas guarantees each of their headphones with the highest cutout, so if you need to use them, you can go back to them. If you are splitting audio, make sure one of the 3.5mm jacks is bidirectional (two black bars) and not three prong. The mic in one-way and three-way auxiliaries will produce slight feedback, but in two-way configurations it has no feedback and plays smoothly on the other pair.
