I bought these for my father who is hard of hearing. He has earphones but he hates them because they hurt his ears after about an hour. I thought he might like it, and most of the time he likes it. But the transmission range is deceptive. It says the transmitter has a 164-foot range, but that doesn't even take into account when the headphones have a 32-foot range. He can't even go to the bathroom and is still here and can barely go to the next room for a drink or a snack. Why even say the transmitter has such a long range when that information is useless as headphones don't. Not happy and not sure if we will keep them. I have contacted the company and depending on what they say I may or may not change my star rating. Everything else about them is very good so far. They were easy to set up, still don't hurt my ears, the sound is very pleasant and the battery lasts 10+ hours so far. In addition, Mom is very happy that the volume is not rattling throughout the house. But range may be a deciding factor for him.
