Both me and my 6 y.o son were initially excited playing with this twin pack of water guns and they were easy to use and operate and featured a plunger design where you have to pull the shotgun style action lever which I actually prefer to the ones where you have to continuously pump to build air pressure . while those style water guns may shoot further but they require a lot of downtime and the pressure lasts for a very short time . so a squirt action water gun is better in that regard.Having said that , these guns do shoot a decent distance and are easy to fill. But the main reason why I gave them only 3 stars is because they are cheaply made - on the very first day my son dropped the gun on the ground and it developed a leak at the point of impact on the grip . this is because the plastic density in that region is very flimsy and uneven . you can actually push the plastic in with very little pressure (see video i posted) . That is actually the case with both guns . the plastic is very weak in the grip region .Overall i would only give these guns 3 stars because they are fun, shoot a good distance , however are very cheaply made and easy to break/develop leaks and at their price they arent the best value for money.
