Installation After reading other reviews, including some negative ones, before purchasing I decided to give this product a try. It might seem a bit intimidating for those who don't know much about electronic components or how to take them apart, but with all the instructional videos, installation is very easy. I didn't solder as I really find the use of l3, r3 and touchpad remapping unnecessary. Installation should take less than 30 minutes for even the most attentive or inexperienced user. I've seen complaints about the remapping "turning on by itself", but with enough common sense this shouldn't happen, especially if you follow the instructions well. The touch foil relies on heat, if you put it in the wrong place you will accidentally access it, but if you accidentally put it in the wrong place there is a simple solution, remove the foil completely as you will be reinstalling it by simply holding r1 , l1, on the D-Pad and x for 5 seconds. I would not recommend this to anyone under the age of 17 for self assembly as the remote and Dawn kit contain very fragile parts and if the remote is mishandled then repairs are likely to be required. Overall the product is great and most of the negative reviews I read were user error. As for the lack of feedback, eXtremeRate did a good job of responding and, most importantly, being Amazon, a replacement is easy to find if something is missing. That's why I only gave a review after a few days. I've used a shock pack which is also a pretty good product if you only need 2 blades and are afraid to install anything and I can honestly say it's quite a turn despite the blades being in the same places. After 4 days of use I feel great. I remapped buttons to the left and 1 button to the right. My left middle finger covers both buttons, and with practice, I can press any button without lifting my finger. It can take some getting used to, as sometimes you accidentally hit the wrong button or both, but as with anything, doing it over and over again becomes second nature. I recommend starting with 2 racquets on opposite sides as 2 racquets will give you an amazing advantage in most games. The only game where I need more than 2 racquets is Fortnite, but even in this game 2 racquets give you an amazing advantage. At the moment I can't find any use for 4 blades so I can't say much about the experience with them but with the 3 I use it's very comfortable and I have no problems with this option. Verdict If you bought 3 of these and 1 new Dualshock remote it still costs less than any pro gamer remote from Scuf, Aim controllers, Combat Beaver, Evil controllers etc. To be honest I actually have quite a few Seen sites that use Dawn Kit to set up the remote and charge you for installation. They offer a 1-year warranty according to their website, which is another plus since most professional controller warranties suck when it comes to the $200 product they sell you. Will definitely be buying a second one to attach another remote so I have 2 professional remotes for less than 1 from top competitors. $35 for it is an amazing deal. Suggestions for ExtremeRate It would be nice to see that you offer different buttons (cool colors, different shapes, etc.) to give everyone different options to their liking. I personally would like to make the buttons on the back blue and maybe more silicone. Finally, offer replacement parts for sale to customers who are out of warranty. Other than that, this is a great product for the money. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a professional controller.
