Hard to beat for the money. But I want them to try!

I originally had the version with clear lenses from the same brand (KOHREE). I really liked their color and brightness - they were MUCH better than the old LED "tower" lamps with "bayonet" bases I had. But the almost bare LEDs were a little annoying to look at. So I sent them back and got these with frosted lenses. I'm happy with the result, but there are a few details to consider. All this is in the description / listing. But they're easy to overlook: 1) lenses aren't just matte versions of clear lenses; They have a different shape, with a noticeable - and in my opinion completely useless - bulge in the middle. The bulge creates a very unfortunate visual of a certain pair of female body parts that I think just look silly on my ceiling. But hey, they give off light. 2) These sockets use permanently attached LED panels instead of the 2-pin pluggable "blade lamps" used in the clear lens version. That way you don't have easy options to swap out the bulbs in the future if you wish to. This can be seen in the product photos but I skipped it assuming the product was the same as clear lenses. 3) The switch doesn't work like our original lights. My original light switch positions were 0 - 1 - 2, but this product switches like 1 - 0 - 2. There are small embossed markings on the switch to show which direction is which, but you can never really see them. use. Therefore it is often "trial and error" to choose which direction to move the switch to get either 1 light or both. However, these headlights are actually bright enough that one bulb is enough for most things, while my old headlights were so dim I always went straight to 2.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
