I've spent a lot of time looking for the right laptop and monitor mounts. Goals: Save desk space, be able to stand and work, and have a full 360° swivel radius. I connected this stand to a laptop stand and it turned out to be just what I needed. The screen mounts were fairly standard so the tablet fitted perfectly and the tilt option on the arm mount allowed me to position the laptop for standing or sitting depending on my needs. I read the reviews and was a bit nervous so I insisted my husband help me install it. He drilled a small hole in my desk, after which I was able to finish the installation myself. The laptop shown here is a newer, lighter 17" Lenovo, but I was also able to use it with my 20" Viao, which is about 8 years old and quite heavy. I have a fairly small desk so mounting this bracket makes a world of difference.
