I am giving it three stars because I have no reason to doubt that it can be healthy food for squirrels and other rodents. However, this only helps if they eat it. I feed squirrels on my second floor fire escape in a sort of bird feeder but the squirrels took over and I enjoyed them too. But they won't eat that crap. I haven't seen a single squirrel eat any of these. They came closest to picking up some of them to make a way for the food that was beneath him. So they throw some of it out of the bowl, but I don't think they eat it. I tried not to include peanuts or squirrel food, thinking maybe they'll eat that if that's all, but they don't. So while it can be perfectly fine food, nutritionally you need to add some flavor to it. Otherwise, it's like feeding your kids cookies; they starve instead of eating it.
