Several of these cables have been purchased over the last few years. In hindsight, they all failed too quickly to be of any good value. They feel solid and still look new, but no longer charge the phone. I can only assume that the sturdy outer case will hold fragile wires or bad contacts. Maybe the spark plugs are worn out. I do not know. Every new Ugreen cable has worked well for a while. I also bought a UGREEN USB 2.0 cable with a braided casing that seems to be holding up well. UPDATE 05/20/2020 ******* UGREEN has made every effort to resolve this issue. Long after I didn't care, they searched for a solution and didn't stop until they were sure I was happy. I definitely recommend this wonderful company.
