Review on 🌽 Corn Starch Tasting Spoons - 200 Pack of Compostable, Biodegradable, Non-GMO Utensils - 3 Inch Size by Marvin Short

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Made from corn based PLA plastic

These spoons look like the picture but should be labeled as PLA plastic. They're made from cornstarch, but that way it has to be heated to 140Β°F in order to biodegrade, which only happens in a municipal composting facility, not in a landfill. In a landfill, they'll last as long as a regular plastic spoon. On Revain they should be labeled as "biodegradable" (as stated on the spoons) and not "biodegradable". It might seem like a silly difference, but it's a big difference for the environment (which is why you buy the spoon at a higher price). I ended up returning them and buying Ecotensil paper spoons which are available from Revain or cheaper directly from the manufacturer's website.
