I have a very large house and am constantly suffering from Wi-Fi dead zones in certain areas by adding routers or an Orbi system that simply interferes with transmission from multiple routers. I decided to jump in and get rid of everything. I have 1GB internet service and recently upgraded to a 3.1 modem to take advantage of that speed. I upgraded my router to a Netgear Nighthawk X10 and bought this WC7500 wireless controller bundle with 5 WAC730s and a Netgear POE switch. My husband and I spent the weekend removing our old luxury waps and cisco switches and replacing everything with this system. First, Netgear's customer support is top-notch. I was redirected to an Indian call center, the guy I spoke to patiently helped me change my IP settings to get the controller working and even called me back when we were offline. They helped me tweak the settings and get my SSID up and running with a single IP to get a single SSID supporting both 2.5 and 5GHz. My WiFi speed is fantastic, my MacBook Pro runs at 1038 Mbps. Couldn't be happier.
