I "outgrew" my last breeches. They were simple and worked, but the knee pockets allowed the armor to move into odd positions. I tried them on as soon as I took them out of the box. The pads are where they should be. They also have hip pads, which can come in handy if I ever need to "use" the pants in a slide. Velcro pockets on the pants are handy for quick access. The material seems durable. It has long zippered vents. There is a zip at the waist to attach the pants to the back of the jacket to keep air from pulling on the jacket. The material is thick and water repellent so I think they will be quite warm for hot weather rides but that's not why I want them! I hate cold morning drives :) Overall I'm very impressed with it!
