I originally gave my review one star because the Powerextra died after four months. Apparently Powerextra read my review and sent me a new battery. Here is a revised review comparing the original Braava Braava 380 Battery - 2000mAh with the Powerextra 3000mAh and the new Creabest Ni-MH 3500mAh battery for the iRobot 7.2V Braava 380 380T Mint 5200B 5200C Vacuum Sweeper Model with replaceable battery 7.2 V to replace a capacity of 3500 mAh. I rated Powerexta better because of the good support when the first battery failed prematurely. I ran two head-to-head comparisons: (1) the original 2000mAh Braava battery and the 3000mAh Powerextra. (2) Powerextra with 3500mAh Crebest battery. In principle, direct tests provide a comparison regardless of the initial soil conditions. In these direct steam tests, each steam unit cleans the entire floor under the same initial soiling conditions. I have three Braava Cubes and my two robots have walked back and forth over 1,700 feet of polished granite. I used Swiferdry pads. All three batteries were fairly new. Test 1 and Test 2 were conducted a few days apart, so the amount of dirt collected was about the same. Instant Test 1: Braava with Power Extra. Braava turned off after about 180 minutes, Powerextra turned off after about 240 minutes. Test 2 at eye level: Powerextra with Crebest. Crebest turned off after about 240 minutes, Powerextra turned off after about 252 minutes. Summary of test results: All three batteries that ran to exhaustion on a floor that wasn't too dirty left the floor fairly clean. Both Powerextra and Crebest outperformed the Braava battery by about 50% more runtime. At 252 minutes, Powerextra outperformed Crebest by about 5% more running time within the margin of error. Conclusion. Both Powerextra and Crebest batteries are about 1/3 the price of a Braava battery and offer about 50% more runtime. I will not buy a Braava battery. I'm hoping the Powerextra and Crebest batteries I currently use will last another year or two.
