Is Orange really Khaki?

Needed khaki pants for my job, tried these khaki size M, what arrived were huge dark orange/brown pants. I tried them on in case I might want to wear them out. Nope. Maybe if I want to be a clown for Halloween.

The high waist is ideal for tucking in shirts and blouses

The flare design may make the wearer appear wider

These pants are very soft and stretchy. I have another pair in gray. I am 5''8" so I have to wear flats with these instead of heels if that gives you any indication on length. Otherwise they fit as expected.
