I really liked the look of this case, but I quickly found that it affects reception (at least where I live and with my carrier) and scratches easily . Both problems are related to the aluminum case. My wife has the same iPhone 12 but with a rubber case. She had much better cell phone reception at our house and when I picked up my suitcase the reception improved noticeably. I also accidentally dropped my phone in the driveway. It protected the phone but scratched and scraped the case on two corners. This photo is less than 2 weeks old by the looks of it. It feels rough and looks shabby. I have since replaced it with a cheaper non-metal case.
