I have a toy poodle, she was a Christmas present, she is only 5 months old and she is mainly in training now. From time to time she gets into several accidents, but days pass between them. At first she was shy ringing the bell now she claps it lol. Best buy ever! So glad we did, it was amazing! Trying to teach your dog to bark to go outside can be confusing as they bark for many reasons. That made it very easy. Bell = outside is the only thing it means and I think that's why it's so effective. The first week there were nights she went out 20 times it was annoying but she got the hang of it and it was important to be consistent, she put it all together pretty quickly, I hit that bell and it brings me after outside.
