As far as fitness measurements go, I've lived without them for too long.
I measure my body regularly (daily or weekly) and this thing saves me a lot of time and nerves. You can't mess up a measurement by holding it wrong, and you can see the numbers no matter where they are on the waist, chest, or other appendage. It seems pretty durable to me, although I'm pretty careful with my stuff. I don't know how to go back to using a sewing tape after using it. The best part is that it stays compact and tidy and I can take it with me in my laptop bag when I forget to take my weekly measurements at home and work.
