This is exactly what I was looking for - the belt fits comfortably around my waist, and helps tremendously with the weight of my grandson. At one year old, he weights 26 pounds and is very, very active. This seat is large enough for him to sit comfortably. I can wear it on my hip, or in front. I love to dance with him, and this allows me to that with relative ease. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5-Star is because if you’re large around the waist, it won’t fit properly, or rather at all. My husband has a 36 " waist, and can barely snap in. My waist is 29 and fits perfectly. The best feature however, is that it has a snap in component on the belt, so if the belt is not quite long enough for the Velcro to hold tight enough, this is an added safety feature. That being said, we still don’t just plop him on there without holding him securely. I love it!
