This is a nice light fixture I installed in my kitchen. I bought the 16" in cool white. I wish it had a glass dome, but you can't tell it's plastic. The installation instructions could have been clearer, but the way they were written let me think I was missing mounting hardware. Maybe I was? I removed my old light and was able to attach this new light to my existing ceiling mount.Installation: First connect the ceiling and lighting wiring and attach the lighting base with the 2 screws provided the ceiling.Before attaching to the ceiling,make sure the 3 pins on the base are attached and facing down.Then attach the dome and ring to the base by aligning them with these 3 pins.Use 3 small caps to attach the base and ring together Will give a higher rating if the glass dome and more detailed instructions s ind. But I will buy another one for the other end of my kitchen. I've only had this light for a day, but so far no problems.
