Review on πŸ“ Firecore Horizontal Vertical Cross Line Laser Level by Jim Cox

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The most valuable tool for my basement renovation project so far!

This was the most valuable tool I bought for my basement renovation project. framework of my 1300 sqm. Feet would be much more difficult without this excellent tool. This value for money far exceeds any other tool in my arsenal! First I had to lay pressure treated baseboards on the concrete floor for the floating walls needed here in Colorado. I removed the line 4 inches from the window sill and attached the baseboards to that line using construction glue and Ramset nails. I then used a spirit level again to nail the lintels to the rafters so the posts were perfectly plumb in between. As a result, the walls are perfectly straight and level. In two areas I had to create false ceilings to avoid ducts and pipes. I set up a plane on a camera tripod using leg extensions to raise a horizontal line to where I wanted the ceiling. I framed this line, creating a perfectly even ceiling frame. It would be a monumental task without this amazing level. Some say the resulting lines are too thick and not bright enough. I disagree on both points. The lines are quite light. I had to cover one of the windows with cardboard when the sun was too bright, but it was clearly visible throughout the project. The lines are certainly thin enough to frame within 1/32 of an inch. If anyone needs more precision, I have no idea why! Battery life is very good and lasts many long days with the laser always on. In short (haha), this is a great tool at an incredible price. You just can't go wrong!
