I think what I like best about this set is that it's stylish in a simple way that could appeal to both men and women. However, the pieces are all big and heavy, which means little or weak hands wouldn't be able to handle them well. The knife has some serration on the upper part of it, which works fine in most situations other than cutting tough meat.Also, there's a maker's mark on the pieces, which strikes me as odd. Maybe high-end flatware all has little marks? If so, you can guess where our household falls in the socioeconomic scale. _^ The mark is odd, and I can't help but check the pieces when they come out of the dishwasher, which they survived admirably, for remaining or clinging dirt. So far, though, the flatwear cleans up smudge-free, even with the mark.Mouth-feel: In my book, this is how a fork or spoon fits in your mouth and whether food tastes neutral on it. This set has no problems, although if you have an especially small mouth, the entree fork and soup spoon will give you trouble.Basically, this set is big and hefty and remains shiny and unscratched after 3 weeks through use and dishwasher. It's exactly what I like in flatwear, but, as always, your mileage may vary.
