My daughter wears them under everything and always as shorts. Colors go with everything. I advised her to wear colored underwear when wearing lighter colors so the prints are not visible, but they are not transparent at all. That's what you expect. Also, they are so soft. No pilling. I even dry them in the dryer. Holds up very well after a year or more.
