This product really works. Just because some people don't know how to read instructions doesn't fix it. No speakers need to be connected. Both speakers must be enabled for InSync and the main speaker must be BT-enabled. and then make sure you press the sink button behind the player and then the speakers will sync with the player. Now if you want to play music from your phone, switch it to your phone on your main speaker. Then go to your mobile phone under Bluetooth and click on the device to connect it to your phone. Then your phone will connect to the speakers and you can play iTunes or something else over WiFi. Hope that helps!
