Review on ๐ŸŽง Koss Porta Pro On-Ear Headphones with Microphone and Remote Control, In-Line Mic, Touch Control, Collapsible Design, 3.5mm Plug, Black/Silver by Randy Holt

Revainrating 3 out of 5

there are pluses and minuses

i bought these headphones as a replacement for the sennheiser px 100, which were not the best-sounding headphones, mind you, but super comfortable, neither in the ear nor in the earphones were not clamped, small weight, foldable. Was then used a lot, albeit not for serious music listening. Surprisingly, few headphones fit this niche. Sennheiser is no longer made and this is the only alternative I could find that has a very good rating and is about the same price. Sound: The mids are better than the Sennheisers, but the real downside of these headphones is the bass. It's not that it's weak, but it just doesn't add up to the overall sound. It's like having a nice set of bookshelf speakers and a cheap, big, floppy subwoofer that just doesn't sound right. Design: Quite comfortable on the ears, a bit tighter than the Sennheiser, but not as bad. The biggest complaint is that while the Sennheiser had pads on the underside of the strap for comfort, the Koss is all metal with two hard plastic tabs that slide to adjust the width, leaving the hard edges pressing on the top of the head. Did the Koss designers try them on? Maybe they just had thicker hair than me. They work pretty well.
