I've had this for a year now since I paid $208 for it in November 2020 (with $12 coupon). They're not perfect, but overall they're so cool I have one in all three of my bedrooms! Overall, there were no problems (although it seems to have only gotten louder with the fan). They ensure proper airflow. It should be noted that cycling the power (e.g. turning the wall switch off and on) will always turn the light on. If you leave the power on at the switch and turn off the light with the remote, a power outage in your home is the same as someone turning the switch off and back on by turning on the light. So when I come home and find that the lights are on in all the bedrooms, I know there was a power outage while I was away. Access to your location, contacts and phone calls (WHY?). - Installation may require drilling a hole in the mounting bracket to mount boxes with US standard brackets. Good: - The Bluetooth speaker is surprisingly good and can be used without an app. - Without the app you can still toggle on and off on the remote so the light gives you 3 shades of white and one where it fades into all the colors it can display. - The low speed setting works best if you go to high speed first, wait for the blades to fully extend, and then lower to low. Installation is not that difficult, even if you have to drill a mounting hole in the bracket. It just takes a few extra minutes.
