Assembly was a bit tricky, mainly due to the construction of our garage. The product is built to a traditional 16" B-pillar design, but our garage was built with a 24" B-pillar. This meant installing a 2x6 that covered the pins needed to hold the device and then attaching the device to the 2x6. (The 2x4 size was not wide enough to attach block screws to it). We assembled five adult bikes (three 28″, one 26″ and one 24″) and alternately rode the handlebars up and down. It's a lot of weight, but it holds up. shoot one at a time, but our teenage girls can handle it easily. The space savings are fantastic and I no longer have to lift big bikes over my head to hang them from the ceiling. The tires leave some marks on the wall so if anyone is concerned about this then a gloss paint should be applied first so you can clean it up from time to time. Overall this was a GREAT purchase.
