Overall I am 100% satisfied with this purchase! The blanks are covered in plastic to protect them before you're ready to press them. Are they broken off? I did, but not enough to complain. Will they last forever...probably not but they are keychains...I had 3 plastic clips that were useless but then again it's not that big of a deal. Very cute and suitable as a gift
