I use a voice recorder in college to record lectures and lessons and am very happy with the quality and features of the DM 20. I teach in rooms up to 40ft x 20' and shot in HQ mode. My prof ranges from screams to murmurs, and even at 30 feet the recorder picks up the murmurs clearly (after I set the noise reduction function to maximum). I wanted to buy the DM 10 but 8 hours of high quality recording beat the price difference. I would highly recommend the DM Series to anyone. The reason I didn't give five stars is simple: batteries. Regular batteries last about a week; I use the voice recorder for about five hours a day. So new batteries or accumulators every week. I bought batteries and a charger, but that adds $35 to the price of the device. If the DM dock charged the batteries that would be a huge plus and I would give it 5 stars. The battery issue is more of a minor than a real annoyance. In general, the voice recorder perfectly picks up voices at a distance and records them with high quality. I would buy it again with great pleasure.
